Sheng is from Wuhan, China. She earned her M.S. degrees in Fisheries at Auburn University and Aquatic Veterinary at Shanghai Ocean University. Prior to joining Dr. Capiro’s lab, she has research experience on breeding of hybrid catfish, bacterial diseases resistance of hybrid catfish, as well as genetic engineering of bacteria for biofuel production. In her free time, she enjoys learning Japanese, drawing, and playing piano.
